Women's Basketball Announces Signing of Suzane Wembadjonga

Canisius women's basketball head coach Tiffany Swoffard announced Thursday the signing of Suzane Wembadjonga ahead of the 2026-27 season.

The second transfer of the offseason, Wembadjonga spent the previous two seasons at Northeast Oklahoma A&M (NEO) where she helped the Norsemen win the 2026 NJCAA Division I Region 2 Championship.

"Suzie is a perfect addition to our team and an already talented post group," said Swoffard. "She is a reliable paint protector, elite rebounder, and a proven winner both on and off the court. We are excited to have her in blue and gold".

Last season, Wembadjonga went 48.6 percent (58-for-105) from the field and averaged 6.5 rebounds per game to help NEO finish the season ranked in the top 25 of the NJCAA Division I rankings.

A native of Gabon, located on the west coast of Africa, Wembadjonga is 6'4 and attended Jean Fidèle Otando Technical High School in her hometown of Libreville. She intends to major in mathematics at the University.
