Rowing Wins Black Rock Cup

The Canisius rowing team collected three victories over Robert Morris in the Black Rock Cup Sunday at the West Side Rowing Club in Buffalo, N.Y.

With two entries in the opening event, Canisius saw the A and B boats register first and second place finishes at 8:05.3 and 8:18.8, respectively.

The 2V8+ shell tallied the second Blue and Gold victory of the day with a 7:02.05 finish, beating the trailing Colonials boat by 53 seconds.

Canisius completed the sweep as the Varsity 8 boat clocked a 6:35.3 result. Robert Morris crossed the finish line at the 6:42.1 mark.

• The regatta marks the final regular season event before postseason action.
• Senior Day honored the 2025 class of the Canisius rowing team including Brooke Urmson, Hannah Kenefick, Skylar Vles, Morgan Marsallo, Cecelia Reiser, Macey Schneider and Kaleigh Schwab.
