Bourque Earns MAAC Setter of the Week

Senior Ella Bourque was named the Jersey Mike's MAAC Volleyball Setter of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Bourque earned her third Setter of the Week award of the 2025 season and 15th in her career after she recorded 108 total assists, averaging 10.8 per set over two matches last weekend. The Yorkville, Ill., native dished out 59 assists in a five-set reverse sweep of Merrimack on Friday before tallying 49 more assists against Quinnipiac on Canisius' Senior Day.

Bourque, who has amassed 40-or-more assists on 13 occasions this season, has 3,798 career assists to her credit, second-most in program history, and she trials the all-time record by 43.

Canisius opens postseason play in the opening round of the 2025 MAAC Volleyball Championship tournament on Tuesday night against No. 4 seed Niagara at the Gallagher Center in Lewiston, N.Y. Game time is set for 6 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase here.
