Women's Basketball Lands Aubree Hupp

Canisius head women's basketball coach Tiffany Swoffard announced Wednesday that Aubree Hupp has committed to join the Golden Griffins program for the 2026-27 academic year.

Hupp is the first player to sign with Canisius in the 2026-27 freshman class. The Beaver Falls, Pa. native intends to major in biology at the university.

"We are thrilled to add Aubree to our program," Swoffard said. "She is a proven scorer that can flex 3 through 5. Her blue-collar approach to the game will positively impact play on both sides of the ball. Additionally, Aubree will be a phenomenal representative for our program in both the campus community and the city of Buffalo".

A prolific scorer at Blackhawk High School, Hupp has scored over 1,000 points in her high school career. In her junior season, Hupp averaged 21.5 points, 11.4 rebounds, 3.1 steals, 2.3 assists and 2.1 blocks per game to garner first-team all-state honors in Class 4A while also being named the Class 4A Player of the Year helping the Cougars to two PIAA finals as well as a WPIAL championship game.

Hupp set the school's program record for rebounds in a single game (24) and single season (332). She also played AAU basketball with SLAAM.
