Swimming and Diving Garners MAAC and CSCAA Academic Honors

Twenty-four members of the Canisius men's and women's swimming and diving teams were recognized for their efforts in the classroom as the 2023-24 MAAC Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving All-Academic Teams were announced on Tuesday.

Both teams were also recognized for their efforts in the classroom as they were both named to the College Swimming and Diving
Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team for the Fall semester.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Freshman and first-year transfers are not eligible for the award.

CSCAA team awards are given on the basis of Fall 2023 grade point averages. The Griffs men's team garnered a 3.43 GPA while the women's squad obtained a 3.55 GPA for the fall semester.
