Indoor Track and Field Wrap up the Regular Season at the Valentine Invite and the Spire Institute Outdoor Games

The Canisius men's and women's indoor track and field teams closed out the regular season with appearances at the Valentine Invite and the Spire Institute Indoor Games.

The Valentine Invite was broken up into two days. On Friday Jules Jones and Jaqueline Appenheimer participated in the women's 3000-meter unseeded race crossing the line in 10:00.15 and 10:28.09 respectively. Olivia Moran also competed in the 3000-meter seeded finishing in 9:39.26.

Marissa Silba competed in the 800-meter and one mile finishing in 2:22.28 and 5:12.25. Kayla Schmidt and Appenheimer also competed in the one mile with Schmidt finishing in 5:04.99 and Appenheimer in 5:09.04.

On Saturday Tom Appenheimer competed in the men's 5000-meter unseeded finishing with a time of 14:46.22. A team of Schmidt, Silba, Jones, and Moran competed in the 4000-meter distance medley crossing the line in 12:02.38.

At the Spire Institute Indoor Games the Golden Griffins had three top-10 finishes.

On the women's side Ella Herman placed sixth in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:45.13. Jocelyn Tracy (1:53.41) and Julia Hise (1:55.20) followed with 12th and 14th place finishes.

Max Chew led the way for the men placing fifth in the 3000-meter pm race with a time of 8:39.90. Arthur Hartel gave the Griffs another top-10 finish in the 300-meter dash crossing the line in 38.00.
