Baseball Announces 2025 Schedule

Canisius baseball coach Matt Mazurek announced the 2025 season schedule Wednesday, a 46-game slate with an 18-game home schedule.

The Golden Griffins open the season with a 17-game road swing, beginning with two series against participants from the Raleigh regional in last season's NCAA Tournament. The Griffs travel to Harrisonburg, Va., to begin the 2025 campaign with a three-game series at James Madison (Feb. 21-22), followed by three games against last season's Athens Super Regional winner, NC State, in Raleigh, N.C. (Feb. 28-March 2).

Canisius continues its road stretch the following weekend with a four-game series against Big 12 opponent Cincinnati (March 7-9), highlighted by a doubleheader on March 8.

Returning north, Canisius travels to Division I newcomer Mercyhurst for the road half of a home-and-home series with the Lakers (March 11)

The Blue and Gold begin Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play by visiting newcomer Merrimack for a three-game set (March 15-17) before making their way to Saint Peter's (March 21-23).

The Griffs begin their home schedule with a mid-week contest against Le Moyne (March 25) before entertaining conference rival Fairfield in a weekend MAAC series (March 28-30).

The Griffs hit the road again for a seven game road trip to begin April, with MAAC series against Marist (April 4-6) and Sacred Heart (April 11-13) bridged by a midweek rivalry game against St. Bonaventure (April 8).

Canisius returns to the Demske Sports Complex to face Iona (April 17-19) before hosting the Bonnies (April 22) and Mount St. Mary's (April 25-27). The Griffs close out the month of April with a midweek excursion to Le Moyne (April 29).

In May, the Griffs travel to Siena for a three-game MAAC set (May 2-4) before returning home for the remainder of the regular season. The Griffs host midweek contest against Mercyhurst (May 6) and a league series against Rider (May 9-11) and before putting the finishing touches on the season against defending MAAC champion Niagara (May 15-17).

The 2025 MAAC Baseball Championship, scheduled for May 21-25, will be played once again in Pomona, N.Y., at Clover stadium. Canisius has made the MAAC playoffs for 17 consecutive years, the longest active streak in the conference. The winner of the MAAC Baseball Championship will earn the conference's automatic berth into the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship.
