Outdoor Track Fares Well at ECAC/IC4A Championships

The Canisius men's and women's outdoor track teams posted a total of seven top-20 finishes in competition this weekend at the 2023 ECAC/IC4A Outdoor Track & Field Championships at George Mason Stadium in Fairfax, Va.

Junior Jules Jones placed 12th in the women's 5,000-meter run, crossing the finish line in 17:17.17.

Junior Maura Jordan also claimed 12th place in the women's 400-meter dash, turning in a time of 57.74.

Freshman Jacqueline Appenheimer turned in a 17th-place finish in the women's 1,500-meter run, recording a time of 4:40.78.

Graduate student Michael Peppy and senior Tom Appenheimer both placed in the top 20 of the men's 5,000-meter run, with Peppy claiming 17th place (14:36.71) and Appenheimer taking 18th (14.39.47).

The men's 4x800 meter relay, consisting of juniors Ronan McDonald and Kevin Board, freshman Braden Jones and graduate student Richard Moore claimed ninth with a time of 7:44.49.

The women's 4x800 meter relay, featuring Appenheimer, Jones, Moran and junior Marissa Silba placed 11th, turning a time of 9:20.67.
