Saturday will begin at 6 p.m. while Sunday's contest is scheduled for noon. On Sunday, the game will serve as the team's Senior Day where members of the program will be recognized.

• Last Time Out
For the sixth time in program history and first time against Niagara, the Griffs and Purple Eagles played to a tie.

In both team's final non-conference game of the season, the team's finished the 11-inning contest knotted at eight runs apiece.

Senior Rockne Seidel earned the start for the Blue and Gold and tossed three shutout frames in the no-decision.

Junior Carlin Dick slugged his fifth home run of the season in the contest and drove in three runs while graduate Kyle Kush finished the game going 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI and two walks.

• Series Against the Jaspers
Canisius and Manhattan will play one another for the 83rd, 84th and 85th times this weekend.

Despite the Jaspers holding a 43-39 advantage in the all-time series, the Griffs are 20-13 as the home squad.

In 2022, Manhattan took two of the three contests played in Pomona, N.Y., earning a 2-1 win in the opening contest before picking up a 6-1 victory in the rubber match on March 27.

Canisius earned the win in the middle game of the series, picking up a 13-5 victory behind a three-hit, four-RBI performance from Vinny Chiarenza.

Lefty Chris Pouliot earned the win, striking out five batters across six innings of work.

• Duffy on the Brink of History
Junior Matt Duffy is set to do something no other pitcher in MAAC history has achieved. The righty is four strikeouts shy of 100 for the season and when he reaches the mark, he will become the first pitcher in the conference to strike out 100 batters in multiple seasons.

Duffy broke Matt Brash's season strikeout record in 2022, finishing the campaign with 124.

This year, Duffy's 96 punch outs currently rank him seventh in the country, his 13.16 strikeouts-per-nine inning ratio sits at the 13th-best in the nation and the Burlington, Ontario, native's 1.01 WHIP is 15th amongst Division I hurlers. Duffy leads the MAAC in all three categories.
