Volleyball Announces the Addition of Holy Family Transfer Isabella Mosquera

Canisius volleyball head coach Tom Hanna announced the addition of Holy Family transfer middle blocker Isabella Mosquera ahead of the 2023.

"Bella brings us a great combination of college experience, high level training on the court and she's a great student off the court" Hanna said. "Her success on the court as a freshman, along with her multiple national championships at Sports Performance, will help us immensely. We're excited to have Bella join us in August!"

Mosquera was a 2022 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Third Team selection and 3-time CACC Rookie of the Week selection while at Holy Family. In 31 matches, the West Chicago, Ill., native compiled a .304 hitting percentage, 1.09 blocks-per-set and 212 kills which ranked second on the Tigers. Her .304 hitting percentage ranked third in the CACC while her 1.09 blocks-per-set ranked second.

Mosquera also enjoyed a decorated high school career while at St. Charles East, earning her schools 2021 MVP award. She also was a 2021 Beacon/Courier-News All-Area Second Team selection, 2023 Honorable Mention All-Area Team honoree and member of the 2021 DuKane All-Conference team. On the club circuit, Mosquera was a two-time AAU Club National Champion with Sports Performance.

Mosquera is the fifth new Golden Griffin coming to Main Street in 2023, joining fellow transfer Jillian Hanna, along with incoming freshmen Lauren Hubert, Kalia Reisma and Cameron Grange.
