Indoor Track Concludes MAAC Championships Sunday

Highlighted by senior Andrew Perreault's runner-up result in the finals of the men's one-mile race, the Canisius men's and women's indoor track teams closed out the 2023 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships Sunday at the Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory in New York City.

After qualifying second in the preliminaries of the men's one-mile race on Saturday, Perrault claimed second in the final as he crossed the finish line in 4:15.05, a little under two seconds back of Iona's Damien Dilcher (4:13.07)

Graduate student Richard Moore placed seventh in the final of the men's 800-meter run, turning in a time of 1:58.01.

Senior Tom Appenheimer finished seventh in the men's 3,000-meter run, posting a time of 8:30.04.

The men's 4x800 meter relay squad of Moore, juniors Ronan McDonald and Kevin Board and freshman Brody Jones took fourth, posting a time of 7:53.33.

For the women, senior Oliva Moran claimed fourth in the 3,000-meter run, finishing with a time of 9:55.48.

The women's 4x800 meter relay consisting of senior Brynne Ketchum, junior Maura Jordan, sophomore Sarah Pawlow and freshman Jacqueline Appenheimer placed sixth, crossing the finish line in 10:26.66.
