Volleyball Announces the Signing of Perry Stevenson Ahead of 2024 Campaign

Canisius volleyball head coach Tom Hanna announced the addition of left side hitter Perry Stevenson to the Golden Griffins squad ahead of next season. Stevenson will join the team as a freshman for the upcoming season.

"Perry is yet another quality student-athlete who has all the attributes we're looking for to bring to our program" Hanna said. "She's a great student, a great athlete, and someone who still has a lot of growth in her future. Her ability to play six rotations will be as important to us as her ability to be a solid hitter in our league. We're excited to add Perry to our program and look forward to her joining us in August!"

While at Severna Park, Stevenson was a 2023 AVCA All-American and JVA Five Star Watch List honoree. The Millersville, Md., native was an all-county selection in 2022 and also earned AAU All-Academic All-American recognition as well. Through 54 sets played this year, Stevenson has 212 kills, 33 service aces and 117 digs while compiling a .279 hitting percentage.

Stevenson is the first player from the Old Line State to join the volleyball program since Morgan Tennant, a Port Deposit, Md., native played at Canisius during the 2014 season.
