Hubert Collects Fourth Rookie of the Week Honor

Freshman outside hitter Lauren Hubert was tabbed the Molten Volleyball Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week, the league office announced Monday. This is Hubert's second consecutive week earning rookie of the week honors and fourth time overall.

During the Golden Griffins 2-0 weekend, the Buffalo, N.Y., native paced the Golden Griffin offense with 26 kills while adding in 13 digs on the defensive side of the ball. Her best match came during the Griffs 3-1 win over Marist where she would have 17 kills, eight digs, one total block and compile a hitting percentage of .304 (17-3-46).

Hubert and Canisius are back in action on Nov. 4 when they play Rider in a crucial match for postseason qualification. Opening serve is set for 12 p.m., with the game airing on ESPN+. Fans who arrive early to the match will also receive a free Canisius hat as well.
