Canisius rowing head coach Kerri Brace announced on Friday the four events that will make up the 2022 fall schedule.
Â
"We're excited to get back on the water and racing a wide variety of great competition this fall," Brace said. "October will be a busy month, with some traditional races in Pittsburgh, Buffalo and Philadelphia, and also the addition of the Head of the Genesse in Rochester. Fall racing gives us the opportunity to get our returners, freshmen and novice walk-ons together and grow our program both on and off the water."
Â
The season begins Oct. 9 in Rochester, N.Y., when the team will compete in the Head of the Genesee tournament.
Â
On October 16, the Golden Griffins will host their lone home event of the fall season with the Head of the Niagara tournament. Canisius was extremely successful in the competition last year, taking first place in all four events.
Â
The Griffs head back on the road the following weekend to compete in the Yinzer Cup where they will face off against tournament host Robert Morris, Duquesne, and West Virginia on Oct. 23. Â Canisius's varsity four team earned first place at the event last season.
Â
The 2022 fall season concludes in the City of Brotherly Love with the Head of the Schuylkill on Oct. 29.
