Rowing Falls at Knecht Cup

The Canisius rowing team opened its spring season at the Knecht Cup in Cherry Hill, N.J. on Saturday.

The Golden Griffins started out the day with an 8:44.03 finish in the Varsity 4+, which was good for fourth place out of five boats in the heat.

The 2V8 shell clocked a sixth place finish with a 7:24.08 result in their heat later on in the day.

The Varsity 8+ boat rounded out the weekend, recording a 7:11.77 fourth-place finish in their six boat heat.

None of the Canisius boats earned a berth to the petite or grand final rounds that were scheduled for Sunday.
