Start Time for Baseball's Regional Contest Versus Miami Moved Up

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — The Canisius baseball team's regional contest against sixth-seeded Miami on Friday from Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field has moved up to a 10 a.m. start due to forecasted inclement weather.

Friday's contest will still be broadcast on ESPN+.

The Golden Griffins (29-23) earned the program's fourth trip to the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship last Sunday with a 9-5 victory over Rider in the MAAC Baseball Championship title game in Pomona, N.Y. Canisius enters the NCAA Tournament riding a season-long six-game winning streak.

This year's appearance in the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship is the Griffs' first since 2018, when the Blue and Gold participated in the Minneapolis Regional, hosted by Minnesota. Canisius is seeking its first victory in the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship.
