FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
1. Canisius Opens Final Homestand Thursday

The Canisius men's basketball team opens its final two-game homestand of the 2021-22 season Thursday night when the Golden Griffins play host to red-hot Marist at the Koessler Athletic Center. Game time is set for 7 p.m., and the contest will be broadcast live on ESPN3.

2. Series History vs. Marist
Thursday will be the 56th all-time meeting between these two schools in a series that started in the 1997-98 season. Canisius leads the series 34-21, but the Red Foxes have won each of the last two games, including a 71-70 victory back on Feb. 12 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. All-time, these schools have played 18 games decided by five points or less, with each team scoring nine wins in that portion of the series.

3. Don't Call It a Comeback
Last Sunday at Quinnipiac, Canisius trailed the host Bobcats by 16 points in the second half, but fought back to score the 72-67 victory. In six seasons under head coach Reggie Witherspoon, the Griffs have racked up eight MAAC wins when trailing by 10-or more points at any time in the contest. Sunday's game marked the sixth time in that span where the Blue and Gold were down by double-digits in the second half and came back to win.

4. Henderson's Career Day
Senior Jordan Henderson scored a career-high 25 points in the road win at Quinnipiac last Sunday, the sixth time in the team's last eight games where he scored in double-figures. Among those 25 points were five makes from 3-point land, which matched a season high. Henderson's 25 points are the second-most for a Griff in a game this season. Graduate student Scott Hitchon scored 28 points in the Blue and Gold's overtime win over FGCU back on Dec. 22.

5. Armon Gets Busy on the Boards
Junior Armon Harried grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds in the win at Quinnipiac last weekend, the most rebounds in a game for a Griff since Jermaine Crumpton had 16 boards at Marist on Feb. 2, 2018. Of Harried's 14 rebounds, 10 came after halftime as Canisius erased a 16-point second half deficit to score a 72-67 victory.
