Four Men's Basketball Players Named to MAAC All-Academic Team

Four members of the Canisius men's basketball team were named to the 2025-26 MAAC All-Academic Team, the conference office announced today.

Canisius is one of five schools from the conference to have four-or more student-athletes named to the league's all-academic team. To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.

The four Golden Griffins that were selected to the MAAC All-Academic Team, along with their academic majors, are listed below:

Sophomore Trevor Augustine (accounting)
Junior Anthony Benard (strategic communications)
Sophomore Nicco DiGiulio (marketing)
Sophomore Evan van der Plas (business)
