Silba, freshman Jacqueline Appenheimer (18:43.6) and junior Jules Jones (18:45.5) all crossed the finish line in the top-10. Duquesne won the 5K race as a team with 21 team points, as its five scoring runners completed the wet course among the top-8 in the field.

On the men's side, Appenheimer crossed the line nearly 12 seconds ahead of third-place finisher Sean O'Brien from Buffalo (25:10.2). Senior Andrew Perreault (25:58.5/22nd), junior Thomson Chew (26:00.8/23rd) and graduate students Richard Moore (26:01.6/24th) and Michael Peppy (26:11.5/27th) all posted top-30 times to help lead the Griffs to a third-place finish with 98 team points, seven back of second-place Duquesne (87). Buffalo won the men's team title with 27 team points as the Bulls had its five scoring runners all place in the top 10.

Head Coach Tyler Scheving's Post Race Comments
"This was the largest field that the Alumni Classic has ever assembled, and both men's and women's teams showed up accordingly. The women's team put forth one of the best displays of pack running that we've ever seen to help secure the second-place finish. This is an incredible group of runners and they're displaying some amazing tactical running heading into the MAAC Championships.
The men also implemented some strong tactics with their team spread from 2-5. Coming off the cold bug the past week, this group is going to be dangerous in another couple of weeks. Everyone is looking primed and ready to go for the showdown in Loudonville in two weekends."
