1. Tough Start to MAAC Play
• Canisius dropped its first game in league play Thursday night in Riverdale, N.Y., as Manhattan had three players record double-digits. Emily LaPointe recorded a career-best 25 points that helped the Jasper's to a 68-50 win. Canisius seniors Tiana Pugh and D'Jhai Patterson-Ricks recorded 11 points apiece in the loss.

2. End on a High Note
• Saturday will be Canisius' final game of a six-game road swing that saw the team travel to Florida, Ohio and New Jersey. The Blue and gold are now looking for its first win of the road trip after losing the first five games.

3. Long Distance Rivalry
• Monmouth holds an 8-7 lead in the all-time series that dates back to the 2013-14 season. Neither Canisius nor the Hawks have ever won more than three games in a row in the series. Monmouth got the best of Canisius in head coach Scott Hemer's first season, winning two-of-three versus the Griffs.

4. Sweny Stepping Up
• Senior Anna Sweny has played 20-plus minutes in each of the Griffs last four games, highlighted by a season-high 35 minutes at Toledo where she recorded a career-high 12 points. The Erie, Pa., product followed that game up with a seven-point and six boards against Manhattan.

5. Second Chance Shannon
• Senior Shannon Conely has grabbed a total of 49 offensive rebounds in her career compared to 65 defensive rebounds. This season, Conely has made a living on the offensive glass, grabbing 12 of her 19 total boards after a Canisius shot.
