Four Divers Compete in NCAA Zone A Finals

The Canisius Diving program had four divers finish in the top-18 of their respective events, as the squads competed in day three of the Zone A Diving Championships at Rutgers University, Wednesday afternoon. Senior Kris Santos  placed 11th in the men's platform event to close out his senior season.

For the women, sophomore Vinnie Costanzo made history as she placed 14th in the platform event with a score of 292.90. Costanzo is the first female Golden Griffin to place in the top-15 in the NCAA Zone A platform finals.

Santos scored a 294.45 in the platform preliminary, placing 11th, which allowed hime to advance to the final event. The senior scored a 545.75 in the final round to finish in the 11th position. Josh Larcom and Brett Palo also qualified for the platform finals, after they placed 18th ( 174.75) and 17th (195.35). Palo ended the season placing 17th in the final event with his score of 411.45, while Larcom earned a score of 335.55, good for an 18th place finish in his last meet as a griff.
