LAST TIME OUT
• Sara Hinriksdottir tallied a season-high 29 points and the Canisius women's basketball team outlasted Saint Peter's, 52-49, at the Koessler Athletic Center on Monday night.
• The Blue and Gold bested Saint Peter's in a defensive battle in the first half, as the Griffs held the Peacocks to just 20 points at the end of the first two quarters.
• That total was the second-lowest total they've limited an opponent to in the first half this season.
• The Griffs kept the Peacocks at arms length for the majority of the third quarter but Saint Peter's mounted a comeback in the final stanza.
• The Peacocks poured in 20 points in the frame, and eventually took a lead with 4:20 left in the frame (42-40), but the Griffs battled back, finishing the fourth quarter on a 12-7 run to win the game 52-49.
• Hinriksdottir matched a career-best 29 points in the outing, hitting 9-of-22 from the field, including a trio of three-pointers.
• Margret Halfdanardottir hovered around 10 points, tallying nine in the win.
• Anna Sweny once again showed her tenacity in the paint, leading the team in rebounds with nine. Saliah Serrette tallied eight rebounds, while Hinriksdottir finished with seven.
• Overall offense was hard to come by for both teams as the Peacocks shot just 29 percent while the Blue and Gold shot 31.
• Canisius managed to outrebound Saint Peter's, 40-38, and for the third time this season Canisius forced over 20
opponent turnovers as the Peacocks tallied 22.

• Hinriksdottir continues to be the team's most productive point producer, as she is averaging 14.5 points per game and 5.7 rebounds per contest.
• Maria Welch is next on the scoring list, posting 8.7 points per game.
• Halfdanardottir is third on the Griffs' scoring list, averaging 8.2 points per contest.
• Canisius is averaging 55.4 points per game and is allowing 64.4

• Quinnipiac has three players averaging double-digit points with Sarah Shewan leading the way with 13.3 points per game.
• Jen Fay and Aryn McClure are averaging 12.2 and 10.9 points respectively.
• Fay also paces the team in rebounding, averaging seven boards per game.
• The Bobcats enters the match-up averaging 70.6 points per game while opponents are averaging 58.2.
• Quinnipiac is dangerous from beyond the arc shooting 34.1 percent from long range and are averaging 8.8 3-point buckets per contest.

• Junior Sara Hinriksdottir has been consistently the best offensive threat for the Blue and Gold, and her game against Saint Peter's on Feb. 5, proved to be one of her best.
• Hinriksdottir matched a career-high that she set last season against Morehead State, pouring in 29 points against the Peacocks.
• The junior forward hit 9-of-22 from the field including 3-of-7 from beyond the arc and 8-of-9 from the charity stripe.
• She also tallied seven rebounds in the victory.
• Hinriksdottir has tallied 20-or-more points four times this season, and accomplished the feat in three of her last six games.
