Andrew Sipowicz to be Featured on CBS’s “On the Road” Segment

Canisius senior baseball player Andrew Sipowicz will be featured on Friday's edition of the CBS Evening News with Jeff Glor, as part of the news program's longstanding "On the Road" segment with Steve Hartman. The CBS Evening News airs at 6:30 ET/5:30 CT on your local CBS station.

On Tuesday, Sipowicz sat down with Hartman to discuss an experience he shared on Twitter, where he highlighted the kindness of a local sixth-grade student who left him a note after her school bus hit his car. Sipowicz's tweet, which has been retweeted 269,290 times and liked more than 1.2 million times since Nov. 20, drew local, national and international media attention. The CBS Evening News segment will share Sipowicz's first meeting with the local good Samaritan, as well as his comments about the incident and the note that was left for him.
