Mroz and Wright Receive MAAC Weekly Honors

After earning first-place finishes in multiple events at the meet against Geneseo last Saturday, the Canisius swimming and diving programs earned two MAAC weekly awards, the conference office announced Wednesday.

Junior Vivian Mroz was named MAAC Female Diver of the Week after she placed first in the women's 3-meter diving event with her score of 255.70.

Travis Wright, the defending conference diving champion, was named the male diver of the week for the second time this season. Wright won both the 1-meter (351.80) and 3-meter (369.60) competitions by more than 20 points in each event.

Both the men's and women's swimming and diving teams will return to action on Nov. 4, when the Griffs travel to swim at Colgate. The meet in Hamilton, N.Y., is set to start at 1 p.m.
