Senior diver Eddie Quarantillo competed in the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships in Buffalo, N.Y., earlier this week after a strong season on the diving board for the Golden Griffins.
The senior competed in the Men's 3-Meter Championship, where he recorded a score of 308.50 in the Prelim/Quarterfinals, placing him in the 16th overall seed for the finals, where only 18 divers qualify.
In the finals of the 3-Meter, Quarantillo scored a total of 626.65 points, 318.15 in the final, placing him in 15th overall. This was the second season in a row that Quarantillo competed in the NCAA Zone A Diving Regionals, he finished in 29th last season in the 3-Meter.
Quarantillo, who was named the 2014-15 MAAC Men's Diver of the Year, won both the men's 3-Meter and the men's 1-meter at the MAAC Championships in February.
