Senior Lauren Lackovich led the team with 23 assists while fellow senior Jess Stackhouse (Warsaw, N.Y.) had 13 digs for the Griffs.

The Griffs dominated the first two games by hitting over .500 in each of those games. Canisius controlled the first game from the start, going on two four-point runs and one five-point run. In the second game, the Griffs broke it open midway through with a 13-2 run.

In the last game, Canisius had a 11-8 lead and scored five straight points, with four of those coming on service aces from Gerde. The Griffs closed out the match with Stackhouse getting a dig and Lackovich setting Morgan Ammons (Findlay, Ohio) on the final point.

“Today was one of our best team efforts,” Canisius coach Cathy Hummel said. “It was a nice way to send our seniors off with a home win.”

Alexandra Schultze led the Red Foxes (10-18 6-10) with 15 kills and a team-best .231 attack percentage.

Canisius closes out its regular-season schedule next weekend when the Griffs play at Saint Peter's and at Manhattan.
