2008 (Senior): Team captain... Appeared in all 28 matches and in all 113 sets... Totaled at least eight kills in 14 matches, including a season-high 11 kills against Saint Peter's on Oct. 4... Totaled 63 blocks on the season, including five blocks against Loyola on Oct. 18... Posted 60 or more blocks for the third time in career and finished career with 247 career blocks... Had 20 or more service aces for the third time and finished career with 102 service aces

2007 (Junior): Totaled career-high 2.07 kills per game, which ranked third on the team. Had career-high 219 kills after recording 198 in first two seasons. Played in all 106 games and has played in 96 percent of the team’s games during past three seasons. Recorded triple double (12 kills, 23 assists, 10 digs) against Loyola, first by a Canisius player since 2004. Had six matches with double-digit kills, led by a career-high 15 against Iona. Recorded double-digit digs in eight matches, led by 17 against Niagara.Totaled double-digit assists in 27 of 29 matches and had 20-plut assists in 10 matches. Finished second on the team in assists per game (4.75). Was fourth on the team in digs per game (2.04). Also was fourth on the team in blocks per game (0.74). Had four or more blocks in a game eight times, highlighted by career-high eight against Saint Peter’s. Ranked second on the team with 40 aces and finished 10th in the MAAC in service aces per game (0.38). Had career-high eight aces against Marist.

2006 (Sophomore): Closed out the year ranked fourth in the MAAC in assists per game average at 10.69 per game. Played in 112 games and dished out 1197 assists, which ranks second in school history for assists in one year. Became just the third player in program history to post 1,100 assists in a single season. Was good for 40-plus assists in 16 matches, highlighted by her career-high 57 assist effort in the team’s win over Manhattan at home. Ranked fourth on the team with 233 digs, good for an average of 2.08 per game. Had 62 block assists and matched a career-high with five block assists against Youngstown State and at Manhattan. Dropped down 29 service aces.

2005 (Freshman): Played in 93 games as a freshman, which ranked third among Canisius newcomers. Was good for 1.53 kills per game and posted a .132 hitting percentage in her first years in Blue and Gold. Ranked second on the team with 214 assists. Had 34 block assists, highlighted by a season-high five at home against Army. Was also credited with one solo block at Marist.

Before Canisius: Won three varsity letters while playing for head coach Jim DeLong, and was selected first team all-conference after her junior and senior seasons at Oak Hills. Named honorable mention all-city in 2003 and 2004, and closed out her high school career with 212 career assists.

Personal: The daughter of Lou and Sandy Gerde, Brittany is a special education major at Canisius. Volunteers her free time with the Special Olympics. Has one younger brother, Michael.
