Women’s Soccer Announces 2026 Schedule

Canisius women's soccer coach Ryan Louis announced the 2026 schedule on Tuesday, a 17-game slate that features eight home games and nine road contests.
 
The Golden Griffins open their seventh season under Louis Aug. 13 with a home game against regional rival Le Moyne. A visit from Robert Morris (Aug. 20) follows the season debut before Canisius closes out the first month of the season with road contests at Little Three foe St. Bonaventure (Aug. 23) and Colgate (Aug. 27).
 
September gets underway with the Griffs' final non-conference game of the season, a derby match at Buffalo (Sept. 2).
 
Metro Conference play kicks off at home on Sept. 5 with a rematch of the 2025 league championship game against Sacred Heart. A visit to defending league regular season champion Fairfield (Sept. 12) awaits Canisius after the matchup with the Pioneers while a home date against Iona (Sept. 19) and a trip to Iona (Sept. 26) round out the September slate.
 
October begins with a home matchup against Quinnipiac (Oct. 3) and includes home dates with Marist (Oct. 10), Battle of the Bridge rival Niagara (Oct. 21) and Manhattan (Oct. 31), as well as road contests against Siena (Oct. 7), Merrimack (Oct. 17) and Saint Peter's (Oct. 24).
 
The regular season wraps up Nov. 4 with a visit to Mount St. Mary's.
 
The 2026 Metro Women's Soccer Championship is a six-team, single-elimination tournament. The championship starts with first-round action on Nov. 8, followed by the semifinals on Nov. 12 and the championship on Nov. 15. The winner of the 2026 Metro Conference Women's Soccer Championship receives the league's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
