Ely Sidibe Signs Professional Deal in Germany

Former Canisius men's soccer player Ely Sidibe signed a professional contract with SV Eintracht Hornborn e.V., a club based in Germany.

Sidibe capped off an impressive career by earning All-MAAC honors during his final season in 2024. The Syracuse, N.Y., native lead the Griffs that season with five goals and one assist, totaling 11 points. Over his final two seasons, he was the team's top scorer, recording eight goals and five assists.

Sidebe's final season was highlighted by a four-point night at Farfield on Nov. 2, 2024 when he found the back of the net twice.

During his time at Canisius, Sidibe appeared in 46 matches and was named to the MAAC-All Academic Team on two occasions.
