Men’s Soccer Welcomes Two Newcomers to 2026 Roster

Canisius men's soccer head coach Michael Tanke announced the addition of two newcomers to the roster for the 2026 season on Tuesday.

"We want to welcome Anthony and Brayden to the Canisius Men's Soccer family," Tanke said. "Once again, we're adding freshmen in the Spring semester, which we believe is a significant help in our development process. Our goal is for these two to adapt to our culture and training environment so that they're setting the right example for the August newcomers in the summer."

Anthony Scott - RNYFC MLS NEXT – North Tonawanda, NY
"Anthony is a local player from Starpoint High School. He's a central player with big potential. Probably a little bit under the radar because he was a late developer physically, but oftentimes these guys are the ones who are top performers come Junior year."

Brayden Zavala-Lopez – Alexandria MLS NEXT - Alexandria, VA
"Brayden is from the DMV area and played with Sydney Aggrey in DC United's academy for a period of time. He's a versatile player who can probably play anywhere other than #9. We hope he has a big role for us in the future."
