Miyashita to Serve as Assistant Coach with Team Canada at Men’s U20 Championship

Canisius men's lacrosse head coach Mark Miyashita will serve as an assistant coach with Lacrosse Canada at the 2025 World Lacrosse Men's U20 Championship, scheduled for Aug. 15-24 on Jeju Island in South Korea.

The 10th edition of the men's U20 championship field features 19 teams split into five pools. Canada is part of Pool A, which features the top four teams from the last edition of the championship in Australia, Canada, the Haudenosaunee and the United States.

All four teams in Pool A will advance directly to the quarterfinals. The remaining pools will advance two teams each to the play-in round, ahead of quarterfinals, semifinals and the medal round.

Miyashita is no stranger to the Team Canada sidelines, having helped the Red and White to a pair of second-place finishes at last two Men's World Championships (2018, 2023). He also served as an assistant coach for his native country at the 2022 U-20 Men's World Championship, helping that squad claim a silver medal.
