Men’s Soccer Unveils 2025 Schedule

Canisius men's soccer coach Michael Tanke announced the 2025 schedule on Wednesday, a 16-game slate that includes seven home dates and nine road contests.

The Golden Griffins kickoff their fourth season under Tanke with a two-game road trip to the Commonwealth of Virginia that features matchups at VMI (Aug. 21) and Virginia Tech (Aug. 24). A home date against Duquesne serves as the home opener as well as the final game for Canisius in August.

September gets underway with road matchups against Cleveland Sate (Sept. 6) and Little Three rival St. Bonaventure (Sept. 10). A home date against regional rival Mercyhurst (Sept. 17) brings the non-conference portion of the schedule to a close.

Canisius opens Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play with a road matchup at Rider (Sept. 20). The Griffs are back in the Nickel City to host Iona (Sept. 27) and Siena (Oct. 1) before returning to the road for a league contest at Saint Peter's (Oct. 4).

A home date versus Quinnipiac (Oct. 11) and a visit to Sacred Heart (Oct. 18) follow the visi to Jersey City before the October slate ends with a home game against Manhattan (Oct. 25) and a road date at Mount St. Mary's (Oct. 29).

Canisius opens November with the home finale against Merrimack (Nov. 1) and close out the regular season with a road matchup against Battle of the Bridge foe Niagara (Nov. 5).

The 2025 MAAC Men's Soccer Championship is a six-team, single elimination tournament. The championship starts with first-round action on Nov. 9, followed by the semifinals on Nov. 13 and the championship on Nov. 16.

The winner of the 2025 MAAC Men's Soccer Championship receives the league's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
