Women’s Soccer Reveals 2025 Schedule

Canisius women's soccer coach Ryan Louis announced the 2025 schedule on Tuesday, a 16-game slate that features an even split of eight home games and eight road contests.

The Golden Griffins begin their fifth season under Louis on Aug. 14 with a home derby against crosstown rival Buffalo. A visit to ACC-foe Syracuse on Aug. 21 serves as the team's road opener before returning home to face Colorado College for the first time in program history on Aug. 24. The month of August closes with a trip to longtime rival Robert Morris on Aug. 28.

Canisius kickoffs both the month of September and Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play with a road matchup versus Manhattan on Sept. 6. The Griffs return home to face Merrimack on Sept. 13 and travel to Rider Sept. 20 before wrapping up the month with a league home date against Iona on Sept. 27.

October gets underway on the road with a MAAC matchup at Sacred Heart on Oct. 1. Home dates against defending league champion Fairfield on Oct. 4 and Siena on Oct. 8 follow the contest against the Pioneers.

The Griffs travel to Quinnipiac on Oct. 11 and return home Oct. 15 to square off against Mount St. Mary's. A trip to Marist on Oct. 18 and a home date against Saint Peter's on Oct. 25 set the stage for Canisius' regular-season finale at Battle of the Bridge rival Niagara on Oct. 29.

The 2025 MAAC Women's Soccer Championship is a six-team, single elimination tournament. The championship starts with first-round action on Nov. 1, followed by the semifinals on Nov. 5 and the championship on Nov. 9. The winner of the 2025 MAAC Women's Soccer Championship receives the league's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
