Canisius Lands 12 on CSC Academic At-Large All-District Teams

Canisius had a total of 12 student-athletes recognized as the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its 2024-25 Academic At-Large Men's and Women's All-District Teams on Tuesday.

Representing the Golden Griffins on the men's Academic All-District Team were graduate student Cody Schiavon and juniors Stefano Bottini and Grant Porter from hockey, senior Reed Conrey and junior Micah Hanson from men's lacrosse and sophomore Mikey Takacs from golf.

The women's Academic All-District team featured junior Francesca DiCamillo and senior Hannah Kenefick from rowing and junior Maggie Tifft and sophomores Ashlyn Dhandwar, Maddie Fitzgerald and Lauren Matyka from women's lacrosse.

All of the Academic All-District award winners were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Among the 12 Canisius student-athletes honored this year, Fitzgerald and Hanson were chosen to advance to the national ballot, which will be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced July 8.
