Kahlil Singleton Commits to Men’s Basketball Roster for 2025-26 Season

Canisius head coach Jim Christian announced today that Kahlil Singleton will join the Golden Griffin men's basketball program for the 2025-26 season.

Singleton, who played his first two collegiate seasons at Holy Cross, joins the Canisius roster from the NCAA Transfer Portal. He will have two years of collegiate eligibility remaining, starting next season.

A 6-foot-3, 190-pound guard from Vancouver, Wash., Singleton appeared in 57 games and made five starts during the 2023-24 and 2024-25 campaigns at Holy Cross. In those 57 games, he averaged 5.4 points and 1.5 rebounds per game while shooting 41.2 percent (107-for-260) from the field and 39.1 percent (72-for-184) from 3-point land. He scored in double-figures nine times for the Crusaders, highlighted by his career-high 22-point performance against Army on Jan. 22, 2025. He knocked down multiple 3-point field goals 19 times at Holy Cross, with his career-high six makes from behind the arc in a road win over Quinnipiac on Dec. 17, 2024.

"Kahlil is a confident young man who has a passion for the game, and he is dedicated to continuing to work to improve at all levels," Christian said. "He comes to us with 57 games of experience under his belt, and before he went to Holy Cross, he played at a highly successful program at Scotland Campus. He knows what it takes to be successful on and off the court, and we are excited to add him to our team."

Singleton is the third player to join the Canisius program out of the NCAA Transfer Portal this offseason. On April 14, Canisius announced that graduate student Myles Wilmoth (Siena) and Marcus Niblack (Jacksonville) committed to wear the Blue and Gold next season.
