Men’s Basketball Set to Host Cross-Town Rival Buffalo Saturday

Off to its best home start since 2013-14, the Canisius men's basketball team returns to action at the Koessler Athletic Center on Saturday, Nov. 29, when the Golden Griffins play host to cross-town rival Buffalo. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Tickets for the game can be purchased in advance online by CLICKING HERE, or at the Canisius ticket office inside the Koessler Athletic Center lobby on game day, starting at 4 p.m. The Ellicottville Brewery Company Fan Zone inside the Koessler Athletic Center will be open at 4:30 p.m., and the first 500 Canisius fans in the building will receive a special "Don't Let the Griffs Get Hot" oven mitt.

Canisius, which is 4-3 on the year, improved to 4-0 at home this season with a 75-66 victory over Binghamton on Sunday. That stands as the Griffs' best start to a home schedule since the 2013-14 campaign. Additionally, the win over Binghamton allowed Canisius to surpass its win total from a season ago, and the Blue and Gold boast a winning record at the Thanksgiving holiday for the first time since 2018-19.

Buffalo, which is off to a 7-0 start, will play Bucknell on Nov. 26 in Fort Myers, Fla., before returning to Western New York to face the Griffs. Saturday's game will mark the first time the Bulls have played Canisius at the Koessler Athletic Center since 2018-19.
