Men’s Lacrosse Unveils 2026 Schedule

Canisius head men's lacrosse coach Mark Miyashita announced the 2026 schedule on Monday, a 14-game slate that features an even split of seven home games and seven road contests.

The Golden Griffins begin their ninth season under Miyashita on Feb. 7 with a road contest at regional rival Hobart. Canisius opens the home portion of their 2026 schedule the following week with a Valentine's Day matchup against in-state foe Le Moyne.

A midweek contest at Mercyhurst (Feb. 17) awaits the squad after their home debut before the Griffs close out the opening month of the regular season with home games versus non-conference foes Robert Morris (Feb. 20) and Cleveland State (Feb. 28).

Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play gets underway at home with a visit from Iona (March 7). A trip to Little Three rival St. Bonaventure (March 10) signals the end of non-conference play while a visit from Quinnipiac (March 14) serves as a rematch of the team's MAAC Championship first-round contest a season ago. Road tilts at defending MAAC regular-season champion Sacred Heart (March 21) and defending league tournament victor Siena (March 28) bring March to a close.

The Griffs open April with a visit from Mount St. Mary's on April 4. Trips to Merrimack (April 11) and Manhattan (April 18) follow the matchup with The Mount before Canisius closes out the regular season with a midweek meeting against Marist (April 22).

The 2026 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship will once again be a six-team tournament. First round contests are scheduled for campus sites on April 26 while the semifinals and finals are slated for April 30 and May 2 at the regular-season champion. The winner of the MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship receives the league's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
