• On the Water
The rowing team heads downstate to race against Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference rivals Manhattan and Sacred Heart Saturday in a tri meet.

• Last Time on the Water
The Griffs original season-opening race against Cornell on March 25 was canceled due to poor weather conditions the day of the race. It would have been the first ever meeting between the Griffs and Big Red on the water in the program's 11-year history.

• Trifecta
The last instance the Blue and Gold raced in a tri meet was on May 8, 2022, when they faced Robert Morris and Duquesne in Portersville, Pa. Canisius' top varsity eight rounded out the day on the water for the Griffs with a second-place finish, clocking a 6:55.8 time.

• Back in Blue and Gold
Last year's All-MAAC Second Team selections, Destiny Severn and Olivia Merolle, are back in the fold for the Griffs this season. The duo were the first members of the Blue and Gold to earn the honor since Bridget Lillis did so during the 2019 season.

• Up Next
After this weekend, Canisius will race again on April 22 as they head to Hamilton, N.Y., to compete in the Colgate Regatta. Along with the host Raiders, the Blue and Gold will also compete against Holy Cross, Marist, Robert Morris and UConn
