Softball's Friday Slate at Penn State Gets Washed Out

Rain in University Park, Pa., washed out the Canisius softball schedule on Friday.

After weather forced a number of changes to the original Penn State Invitational schedule, the Golden Griffins' doubleheader versus Penn State, scheduled for Friday night at 5:30 p.m., was officially called due to rain.

Canisius is now scheduled to play a non-conference game against Cornell at 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, followed by a game against host Penn State at 1:30 p.m.

Sunday's action for the tournament has already been canceled due to forecasted cold temperatures.
