Hockey Adds 11 to Roster for 2022-23 Campaign

Canisius hockey head coach Trevor Large announced the addition of 11 players – seven transfers and four freshmen – to the roster for the 2022-23 season on Friday.

Markus Boguslavsky (Calgary, Alta.), Nick Bowman (Shelby, Mich.), Tyrell Buckley (Penticton, British Columbia), Brenden Daetma (Sterling Heights, Mich.), Grant Loven (East Grand Forks, Minn.), Cody Schaivon (West Kelowna, British Columbia) and Erik Urbank (Orchard Park, N.Y.) will all join the Golden Griffins as transfers.

Hunter Andrew (Virden, Man.), Stefanio Bottini (Lugano, Switzerland), Christian MacDougall (Toronto, Ontario) and Oliver Tarr (Uxbridge, Ontario) are stated to join the Canisius program as freshmen for the 2022-23 campaign.

"We are excited to add players who make our program better both on and off the ice," Large said. "Seven transfers and four new freshmen will join our returning guys to build on the momentum of the 2021-22 season. The experience each of these players gained, either at their previous NCAA school or in junior hockey, allows them to be contributors to our environment and our on-ice product. With these eleven newcomers and a strong returning group, our staff is extremely excited to have everyone back on campus and get to work at LECOM Harborcenter."
