Five Things to Know:

1. At the Draw
Canisius returns home Saturday to face Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference foe Quinnipiac at the Demske Sports Complex. Opening draw is slated for 11 a.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.

2. Series Notes
Canisius and Quinnipiac have split their 10 previous meetings in a series that began in 1999. The Golden Griffins have won three of the last five matchups between the two teams.

In their last meeting on March 12, 2021, the Bobcats came out victorious in a 13-10 win over Canisius in Hamden, Conn. Senior Katie Smolensky, junior Paige Stachura and sophomore Riley Davis combined for six of the Griffs' 10 goals in the game.

3. Senior Saturday
Prior to Saturday's contest, head coach Russell Allen and staff will honor six student-athletes who are graduating this year, including seniors Shannon Maroney, Megan Hoffman, Alexandra Pound, Smolensky and Skylar McArthur, as well as fifth-year Toni Malvaso.

4. Leading the Charge
Smolensky leads the Griffs offense with 46 points in the 2022 campaign on 24 goals and 22 assists. Her average of 1.83 assists per game is currently ranked fourth in the MAAC.

Stachura leads the team in scoring with 35 goals and an average of 2.92 goals per game, which is good for third in the conference.

5. Sharp-Shooting Stachura
Stachura continued her strong performance from the eight-meter arc last Saturday versus Monmouth, converting on her only free-position shot attempt. The Orillia, Ontario, native has scored 10 free-position goals this season on 12 shots, to sit in the nation's top-spot in free position percentage with a .833, alongside Syracuse star Emma Tyrrell.
