Henderson, McCauley Named Student-Athletes of the Month for November

Men's basketball graduate student Jordan Henderson, and women's basketball senior Jane McCauley have been recognized as the Canisius Student-Athletes of the Month for November.

Henderson has appeared in 112 games with the Golden Griffins, and has started in all eight games thus far this season, while averaging 12.4 points and 32.3 minutes per game. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Henderson recorded a season-high of 24 points with six three-pointers at Cornell on Nov. 22.

McCauley, meanwhile, is in her first season on Main Street. She recorded a season high 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting at Detroit Mercy on Nov. 13. McCauley, a native of New Rochelle, N.Y., also had her first career start against Robert Morris on Nov. 26, where she had two 3-pointers.

The Canisius athletic department saw all 20 of its varsity programs post a team grade point average of 3.0 or better during the 2022 spring semester.

Seventeen teams posted a team GPA of 3.25 or higher, while the school's 376 student-athletes combined to post a department grade point average of 3.45 for the term.

The spring semester saw 66 student-athletes earn a perfect 4.0 grade point average. Those 66 student-athletes were part of a group of 309 Canisius student-athletes to record a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. That breaks down to 82.0 percent of the College's student-athlete population.
