Five Things to Know
1. Return To Action
The Golden Griffins return to Demske Sports Complex Tuesday night for their first contest since March 27. The 17-day layoff for the Blue and Gold is the longest for the program since a 20-day hiatus in 2008 when Canisius played at #5 Syracuse on February 20, before having a nearly three week break before their March 11 contest versus Little Three rival St. Bonaventure.

2. Series History

Tuesday will be the 28th all-time meeting between the two Western New York programs.  Canisius leads the all-time series with the Purple Eagles 17-10. After dropping the first 10 contests, the Griffs have won the past 17 contests in the rivalry, with the winning streak dating back to 2005.

3. Marissa's Point Streak
With her goal against Fairfield on March 27, senior Marissa Malvaso extended her point streak to 20 games. The last contest the Syracuse, N.Y., native did not register a point was March 22, 2019, against Manhattan. Malvaso has had a point for the Griffs in 31 of the last 32 contests. Entering the weekend, Malvaso is approaching the 100-point milestone, with 91 career points.

4. Davis' Hat Trick
Freshman Riley Davis posted her second hat trick of the season with her three-goal effort against Fairfield. Davis had her first three-goal performance on the season in her first collegiate game against Siena on March 6. The Painted Post, N.Y., native leads the Golden Griffins in goals (10) and is tied for first in points (12) on the campaign.

5. Senior Salute
Before Tuesday's contest with Niagara, head coach Allison Daley and her coaching staff will be honoring the 12 senior members of the 2021 Golden Griffins program. The senior players playing in their last game at the Demske Sports Complex Tuesday evening are Georgia Pavone, Kaitlan Van Kessel, Marissa Malvaso, Ilia Bagley, Riley Lucarelli, Emma Mryglod, Toni Malvaso, Miranda Malvaso, Emily Van Kessel, Aldyn Savage, Nicole Pahnke, and Lauren Gilbert
