FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
1. On the Road, Again

The Canisius men's basketball team returns to the road for the third-straight weekend series, as the Golden Griffins head north to meet long-time rival Niagara Feb. 26-27 at the Gallagher Center in Lewiston, N.Y. Tip-off for both games is set for 12 p.m. Canisius was originally scheduled to close out the home portion of its 2020-21 slate this weekend with a pair of games against Manhattan, however, due to COVID-19 related issues around the MAAC, the league office shifted the Blue and Gold's schedule, sending the Griffs on the road once again.

2. Eight Isn't Always Great
The Griffs are currently scheduled to end the 2020-21 regular season with eight-straight road games, dating back to the team's series at Quinnipiac Feb. 12-13. This current eight-game road stretch is the longest in program history. The 1933-34 and 1939-40 teams played seven-straight road games, which was the previous "record" for Canisius.

3. Green Means Go!
Canisius junior Malek Green was honored as the MAAC Player of the Week and the Big 4 Player of the Week after he averaged 21.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game last weekend at Fairfield. In the win over Fairfield Feb. 19, Green came off the bench and scored a career-high 29 points, which featured a career-best four 3-point field goal makes. The Cincinnati, Ohio native ranks 12th in the MAAC in scoring average at 12.6 points per contest, and his 7.3 rebounds per game ranks him third in the league.

4. All-Around Ahamadou
Canisius junior Ahamadou Fofana has been a stat sheet filler in recent weeks. In the team's last five games, the Bronx, N.Y., native is averaging 10.4 points, 3.6 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game for the Blue and Gold. He enters this weekend's series at Niagara with a 2.0 assist-to-turnover ratio in those five games as well.

5. No. 3 for Three
Junior guard Jordan Henderson leads the Griffs and ranks second in the MAAC with his 42.9 percent success rate from 3-point land. In the win over Fairfield Feb. 19, he posted a season-high 19 points, with six of those points coming on the power of two makes from behind the arc. He ranks second on the team with his 15 3-point field goals this year, and he starts Friday's game with 73 treys, three behind teammate Majesty Brandon, who is the program's active leader in career 3-point field goals with 76.
