Hockey Asks Fans to Help Select New Goal Song

In advance of the start of a new hockey season, the Canisius Golden Griffins are asking for fans to help select the team's new goal song for home games at LECOM Harborcenter during the 2021-22 campaign.
 
Fans interested in submitting a song for consideration are asked to CLICK HERE. Fans must enter the name of the song and the artist. The deadline for submission is 5 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 14.
 
Canisius senior captain J.D. Pogue, junior goaltender Jacob Barczewski, head coach Trevor Large, hockey public address announcer Ryan Burgess and C-Block President Sydney Carlo will serve as the voting panel tasked with choosing the winning submission. The fan that submits the winning song will be presented with a Canisius hockey prize pack, courtesy of the Canisius athletic department.
 
The Griffs are set to open the home portion of the 2021-22 home slate on Friday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m., when the team hosts Ferris State in the first game of a two-game series. In all, Canisius will play 17 home games at LECOM Harborcenter this season. Season tickets are on sale now by calling the Canisius Ticket Office at (716) 888-TIXX or fans can purchase online by CLICKING HERE.
