Rowing Puts Ten Members on MAAC All-Academic Team

Ten members of the Canisius rowing program were honored for their work in the classroom on Wednesday, as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced its 2020 MAAC Rowing All-Academic Team.

Seniors Tara Federow, Misa Gamble, Brittany Gorczyca, D.D. Hurley and Sara Ruszczyk were picked to represent the Golden Griffins on the conference's top academic all-star unit, being joined by juniors Bridget Brogan, Maddie Folsom, Cat Gallagher, Emilee Smardz and Anna Yeager.

This is Gamble's third time earning a spot on the league's all-academic team, while Brogan and Gorczyca are being honored for the second time in their careers.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
