Rowing Closes out Fall Season at Head of the Schuylkill

The Canisius rowing concludes its 2025 fall season at the 55th Annual Head of the Schuylkill on Saturday, October 26th. The first Canisius boat takes off at 1:45 p.m. on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, Pa.

Race coverage begins at 8:45 a.m. and will be livestreamed on Youtube. Fans can also view the livestream by clicking here.

Canisius will take part in the Head of the Schuylkill for the fifth consecutive season. Last year, the Blue and Gold saw its Novice Eight boat record a sixth place finish.

In their last time out on the water, the Golden Griffins made a splash at the Yinzer Cup on Oct. 11th, with all three boats winning their respective heat. The V8 shell won by 29.6 seconds, clocking a 15:33.1 finish. The 2V8 and 3V8 shells also clocked first place finishes in each race with times of 16:13.4 and 17:22.2, respectively.

Canisius opens its 2026 spring slate at the Knecht Cup, a two-day regatta spanning between April 11th and 12th. The first race is set for a 9 a.m. start at Cooper River Park in Cherry Hill, N.J.
