Five Things to Know - Presented by Salvatore's
1. Canisius Makes Another Trip to Jersey
• The Canisius men's basketball team returns to action on Friday night when the Golden Griffins play at Rider in Lawrenceville, N.J. Friday's game will be broadcast live on ESPN3, with tip-off in Rider's Alumni Gymnasium set for 7 p.m.
This is Canisius' second road trip to the Garden State this season - back on Jan. 10 and Jan. 12, the Griffs played at Monmouth and at Saint Peter's, closing out the weekend with a 72-68 victory over the Peacocks.

2. A Canisius Comeback
•
The Griffs are 9-13 overall and 4-7 in MAAC play after coming from behind to defeat Marist last Sunday by a score of 66-65. In that win, the Blue and Gold trailed by as many as seven points with less than 4:00 left on the clock before junior Majesty Brandon hit the game-winning 3-pointer with 5.1 seconds left to play.

3. So Many Close MAAC Games
•
The Griffs' one-point win over Marist last Sunday marked the sixth time this season where Canisius has played a league game decided by
five points or fewer. According to kenpom.com, 13 of the 58 MAAC games played this season have been decided by four points or fewer, with Canisius having played in five of those 13 contests.

4. Johnson Closing In On Major Milestones
• Malik Johnson enters Friday's game at Rider just 15 points shy of becoming the 39th player in school history to reached the famed 1,000-career point mark. The Richmond, Va., native is the team's leading scorer with his 13.1 points per game scoring average, which ranks 12th in the MAAC. Additionally, Johnson needs seven more assists for 600 in his career. In the 116-year history of the program, only Frank Turner has eclipsed the 600-career assist mark during his time in Blue and Gold.

5. Henderson Heating Up
• Canisius sophomore Jordan Henderson scored a team-high 17 points in the win over Marist last Sunday, the fourth time in the team's last five games where he's scored 10-or more points in a game. In that five game span, Henderson is averaging a team-best 14.2 points per game while shooting 50.9 percent from the field and 57.1 percent (12-for-21) from 3-point land.
