Men's Basketball Series at Siena Postponed

The Canisius men's basketball series at Siena, scheduled for Dec. 18 and Dec. 19, in Loudonville, N.Y., has been postponed, the two schools and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announced Sunday afternoon.

The decision to postpone the games next weekend comes in the best interest of student-athlete health and well being. The Siena program has faced a pair of lengthy pauses following positive COVID-19 test results among the program's Tier 1 personnel. Siena's Tier 1 personnel is scheduled to be released from quarantine Monday night.

Canisius, Siena and the MAAC are reviewing options for when the games can be rescheduled.

The Golden Griffins (1-1, 1-1 MAAC) officially opened the 2020-21 season at home Dec. 11 and Dec. 12 with a pair of MAAC games against Marist.
