Five Things to Know - Women's Lacrosse to Celebrate Senior Day Versus Binghamton Wednesday

GAME 17
Canisius (2-14) at Binghamton (2-13)
Date: Wednesday, April 24
Time: 4 p.m.
Location: Buffalo, N.Y. | Demske Sports Complex
Series History: Canisius leads, 13-2

1. Senior Day
• Canisius will honor the graduating class of 2019 before Wednesday afternoon's contest. Graduate students Rachel Heidenreich and Jen Reininger, seniors Ellen Newton, Kayla O'Connell and Jourdan Roemer, as well as junior Rachel Ryan, will all be playing their final game at the Demske Sports Complex. Senior day festivities are set to begin at 3:30 p.m.

2. Binghamton Connection
• Canisius is no stranger to the Binghamton women's lacrosse program as head coach Allison Daley was an assistant for the Bearcats from 2013-16. Graduate assistant coach Brianne Arthur was a four-year member of the program and ranks fifth in career points (2.21) and goals (1.76) per game. Lastly, sophomore Aldyn Savage played her freshman season at Binghamton before transferring to Main Street this year.

3. Roemer Makes History
• Senior Jourdan Roemer tallied her 252-career point when she found the back of the net at the 14-minute mark of the first half against Fairfield to surpass Tori Quinn (251) for the program's points record. Roemer has amassed 154 goals and 102 assists in her career, and she is currently one assist away from tying Lauren Walsh for the program record.

4. Heidenreich Hatty
•  Graduate transfer Rachel Heidenreich recorded her first hat trick as a member of the Blue and Gold on Saturday at Fairfield. The attack now has 14 goals in her lone season on Main Street to go along with six helpers for a total of 20 points.

5. 12-Straight
• Canisius earned its 12th-straight trip to the MAAC Championship and will square-off against No. 3 seeded Siena in Loudonville, N.Y., Saturday afternoon. Canisius and Siena have met twice in postseason play, most recently in 2013, a quarterfinal game in which Canisius defeated the Saints 14-7.
